When will people understand that this has nothing to do with anything? Malkin is not even the best forward on his team, oh how can he be a top10 center in the league, am i rite?
Or take Subban and Josi for example. Come on

I don't have my list in front of me but I think I have him between 11 and 15.
For the record, I have Brodie higher.

It's decisive if you watch them play. Well except to start this season, Brodie has been trash.
It doesn't matter who Brodie has played with over the last couple seasons, Giordano, Engelland, Wideman or Hamilton. All 4 of them played, by far, their best with Brodie. Giordano went from a possible top pairing defenseman to Norris candidate, Wideman went from healthy scratch to productive and, at the time, top 4 defenseman. Engelland went from a bruising extra defenseman to a top four shut down defender and Hamilton went from a struggling young defenseman to a stabilizing presence.
Since being removed from Brodie. Wideman is trash, Engelland is trash, Hamilton is struggling and Giordano became McDavid's ***** (although, to be fair, that might be more on McDavid than anything else).
Brodie is to his defensive pairings as prime Thornton was to his wingers.
As for Giordano being top 10. Easy no from me, and I instantly discredit anyone who has Giordano in the top 10 without Brodie being higher.

Brodie's dcorsi impact is probably top 2-3 in the whole league along with Bergeron.

Brodie is arguably the Flames best player, not just their best defenseman
Definitely your best player in my view. I think Brodie is a top 10 Dman, he deserves to be talked about way more as one of the best in the NHL.
Hopefully Klef develops to be somewhere in the neighbourhood or a slightly less good Brodie.
